Psychoanalyst-in-Training Clinic 

As a result of the Clinical Training programme, the CLA offers psychoanalysis with an Analyst-in-Training. All analysts are carefully selected mature trainees. The training programme is extensive and rigorous, and our analysts are highly skilled at encompassing both theoretical studies and its practical application. This service is intended to make access to psychoanalysis possible for those that desire it regardless of economic means, as a reduced fee may be available.

Location

We currently have practitioners available for in-person sessions in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, subject to availability. Online sessions are possible for those located elsewhere in New Zealand or internationally.

Cost

Your fee is set to what is possible and reasonable for you to pay. Your Analyst-in-Training will discuss the fee with you and it will be set according to your personal means. Sliding scale fees make our training clinic accessible to those who desire Psychoanalysis where cost may be a barrier.

Student Training and Confidentiality

All trainees abide with the strictest confidence by the CLA code of ethics. No case material or sessions will be recorded or used for presentations without prior consent.
